This study aims to predict the level of compliance with corporate governance practices based on TWSE- and TPEx-listed companies covered by the Corporate Governance Evaluation from 2016 to 2019. 6,027 listed companies were utilized by the multilayer perceptron network and sigmoid activation function to build the Backpropagation Neural (BPN) network models of Corporate Governance Evaluation (CGE) results. Results show that LNSIZE, followed by Q and ROA significantly influence the CGE results while LEVERAGE and SECTOR do not have meaningful influence. Furthermore, the CGE has a generally positive relationship with LNSIZE and ROA, a generally negative relationship with LEVERAGE, and both a positive and negative relationship with SECTOR and Q.
Introduction: People infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis (TB) stay infected for long time. Infected people may not develop tuberculosis disease and were asymptomatic. Once progressing to disease, it can affect most tissues and organs, but especially the lungs.\nCase presentation: We report a case of 40-year-old woman initially presented with dry cough for 3 months. 18F-FDG PET showed increased 18F-FDG uptake in the mediastinal, bilateral hilar and peri-pancreatic regions lymph nodes. Sputum for tuberculosis culture revealed mycobacterium spp. and TB was impressed. After anti-TB treatment 6 months, 2nd 18F-FDG PET study revealed more intense 18F-FDG uptake and increased number in the mediastinal and bilateral hilar lymph nodes and sputum culture still revealed mycobacterium spp. so the patient was referred to a tuberculosis center for further treatment as treatment failure. Follow up 3rd and 4th 18F-FDG PET/CT study after 6 and 11 years respectively, showed previous lymph nodes faded and almost invisible. \nConclusion: 18F-FDG PET/CT scan has potential use in patients with TB treatment following.
Background: The novel coronavirus which named sever respiratory systemic\ncorona virus (SARS-Cov-2) has become a global health concerns. Except for\npneumonia, other multiple organs also be affected in the current reports. In this\nstudy, we will collect some laboratory results of the patients with coronavirus\ndisease (COVID-19) to assess the function of liver, heart, kidney and even\npancreas.\nMethods: Laboratory results of the patients with COVID-19 are collected. The\nbiochemical indices are classified and used to assess the according function of\nliver, heart, kidney; meantime, and blood glucose is also observed and taken as an\nindex to roughly evaluate pancreas.\nResults: There were some indices exhibited abnormal. For patient 1, the ratio of\nalbumin and globulin slightly was lower than the down-limit of reference range.\nFor patient 2, alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST),\ngamma-glutamyltransferase (GGT), creatine kinase (CK), creatinine kinase-MB\nisoenzyme (CK-MB), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), alpha-hydroxybutyric\ndehydrogenase (HBDH), and beta-2 microglobulin (β2-MG) were respectively\nhigher than the according upper limit of the reference range, while prealbumin\n(PA) was lower than the down limit. For patient 3, GGT, CK, PA were high than\nnormal range. For patient 4, CK, LDH, HBDH were higher than the upper range.\nConclusions: Infection of SARS-Cov-2 could cause liver and heart injury, and it\nis suggested that clinicians and researchers should pay more attention on the\nprevention, treatment and causative mechanism of such an injury.
Aim. It was the establishing the features of changes in the structure of the testes of experimental animals, as well as immunological and hormonal parameters of blood plasma during stimulation. Material and methods. Imunofan was used in the experiment at a dosage of 50 μg. The macro- and micromorphometric parameters of the organ were studied using light microscopy, the level of hormones in the plasma of peripheral blood, as well as the concentration of mediators of intercellular interaction were determined by enzyme immunoassay. Results. Changes in the morphometric parameters of the organ were established, and the dynamics of the hormonal parameters of the blood plasma of animals was revealed, confirming the occurrence of structural changes in the testis. Conclusions. In response to the immunostimulating effect, a pronounced reaction is observed on the part of the testes of immature animals, which is due to the sensitivity of morphogenetic processes in the organ to external influences and the formation of mechanisms of their regulation, characteristic of this period of ontogenesis. The most intense immunostimulating, membrane stabilizing and detoxifying effect was observed on days 15, 30 and 60 of observation, which was confirmed by statistically significant dynamics of morphometric parameters of the organ.
In this paper the author analyzes the influence of Christianity on society. There will be demonstrated that through its structure, man was created to live in the community. He discovers himself by relating to the world surrounding him, as it is argued by Martin Heidegger, and Martin Buber. Here we also include the relationship with the transcendent. The philosophical and sociological arguments help us understand the influence Christianity had on European society. The religion of the European nations had a strong influence on the civilization of the continent and the world. Researchers have come to the conclusion that man was created with an innate religious feeling. Rudolf Otto sought to demonstrate that man\'s religious experience can only be explained by the aprioric existence of the sacred. So did Mircea Eliade, who introduced a new term \"hierophany\" to define the act of experiencing the sacred. There were also researchers who reinterpreted the relationship with the sacred. Emile Durkheim argued that ultimately, religion in its present form will be replaced by a so-called \"civic religion,\" which will replace religious services in churches. Accepting the perspective of Scripture, the author tries to show the idea of the presence of Divinity in the believer\'s life (John 14:15-26). Jurgen Moltman asserts that if society were to enter the process of Christ\'s discipleship, she would discover the divine alternatives that bring the long-awaited results. Max Weber argued that Christian religion, and especially the sects of Protestantism, had a decisive role in influencing the culture and civilization of modern Europe, and the world at large. From his point of view, the decision of man in capitalist society to make a great effort in his work, has a religious motivation, namely, the doctrine of predestination. Considering that the moral and theological dimension of Christianity lies at the root of human significance, Christians struggle to defend the revealed message. A good example is given by Francis Schaeffer, who in his book Trilogy pleads to preserve the traditional moral values of the Bible. Schaeffer attempts to link the idea of revelation, as it is presented in the Christian Bible, with the discovering of man\'s significance.
This paper addresses the issue of gender equality within a specific scope, focusing solely on the field of employment. The article examines topics related to the gender equality system in employment that are pertinent to modern societies, using legal regulations in selected European countries as illustrative examples. It highlights events and figures that have contributed to the normalization of equality issues, systematizes existing knowledge, and outlines the key principles of this system. The publication also presents research findings that reflect contemporary European citizens' perspectives on the gender equality system in employment. The research employed a straightforward theoretical approach, combining analysis with synthesis, as well as methods of classification, generalization, and inference. Additionally, personal interviews were conducted as a research tool. The aim of the study was to determine whether, in the respondents' opinion, the gender equality system is considered important enough to be implemented by employers.
